Yellow: The Color Of Innocence

Ahh... good morning, sunshine~!

Today is a beautiful new day!  Out in the window, you see the sunlight shine a brilliant yellow into your room.

I feel happy today!

Yellow is kind, cheerful, and most of all, innocent.  Yellow is the color that helps to define our childhoods.  Of all the colors to see in flowers, yellow is the most prominent, making an already wondrous hill of green grass into a beautiful display of yellow daisies.

Or, on a rainy day, the otherwise gloomy atmosphere can be lifted by something as simple as a yellow rain jacket.

He looks funny!

Yes, yellow is indeed the color of innocence.

Oh look, a bee!  Such a cute little bumble bee!  Come here, buddy!  I won't hurt- OW!!

However, innocence is not always a good thing.

Ow... I thought that yellow things were only... fun...

There's a darker cousin to innocence, and that... is fear.  Fear of the unknown... fear of illnesses... fear of anything we don't know of.

It is also a sign of illness.  Just resting there, scared... helpless... alone...

I don't like this yellow... it's scary...

When paired with black, it can come off as menacing... but soon, you begin to see the more noble cause of the two-color combination: as a warning against coming close to the thing.

No... I don't want to be hurt anymore... I want the OLD yellow back!  Come on out, yellow!

The sun shines brightly once again, embracing you in the warm embrace that was there before.  How joyous the color yellow is!

I'm free~!  I am happy once again~!

And thus is the beauty of the color yellow...
